Excellence is a skill.
We teach it here.

NIMTA is a vocational institute for people who want to be genuinely good at what they do. Pick your field. Software, design, fashion, food, beauty, business. We train you properly, push you further than you thought you could go, and make sure you leave with work you're proud to put your name on.

The Institute

Some places teach you a bit of everything. We build you fully.

Most training centres hand you a manual and a certificate. NIMTA is different, and deliberately so. Here, you spend your days doing the actual work, guided by facilitators who earn their living doing it too. By the time you graduate, you're not hoping you're good enough. You know you are, and you can prove it.

Who can apply: anyone with an SSCE result and the will to work. No degree needed. No connections needed. If you're ready to take yourself seriously, you're ready for NIMTA.

A Message From the President

“We will not lower the standard to make you comfortable. We will raise you until you meet it.”

Dr Safiyyah Hassan Shaibu, President of NAOWA, has a message for everyone thinking about joining this institute. It's honest, it's personal, and it will tell you exactly what kind of place this is.

What You Can Learn

Five departments. One standard: excellent or not yet.

Every department is run by people still active in their industry. Choose the craft that fits your hands, your mind, and the life you're building.

Our Give-Back

Founded by the Army family. Open to absolutely everyone.

Anyone can study at NIMTA. That's the first thing to know. The second is this: because this institute was founded by the Nigerian Army Officers' Wives Association, we set something special aside for the children of those who serve. It's our way of saying thank you to the families who have given so much.

Children of Army Officers
100%
Full Scholarship, First Programme

Children of Soldiers & Other Ranks

Don't take our word for it. Take theirs.

I almost didn't apply because I thought a place like this wasn't for someone like me. I only had my WAEC result. Two months into Digital Marketing, I was running a real campaign for a real business. Today I have three clients who pay me every month. NIMTA didn't just teach me a skill. It taught me to stop underrating myself.

The scholarship got me through the door, but I'll be honest, it's the training that changed my life. My facilitator pushed me harder than anyone ever has. When my capsule collection sold out before graduation, I finally understood why. Now I run my own label and I hold my two apprentices to the same standard she held me to.

What surprised me most was how honest everyone was. My instructor is a working developer, and he told me the truth about the industry from week one, then trained me to meet it. My final project got me a job offer before I even collected my certificate. People ask if I got lucky. No. I got trained.
